Adventures In Web Selling: That Must Be One PLEASED Affiliate Marketer

Main | Swamped That Must Be One HAPPY Affiliate Marketer October 02, 2004 I just got my daily email from Cool Site of the Day. Today's featured site is Stingier.com, an online shopping discount coupon site.

All I can say is, that's got to be one really HAPPY affiliate marketer out there, that's for sure. According to my latest Linking Matters newsletter (**definitely a keeper, BTW), getting selected as the site of the day by Cool Site of the Day can have huge ripple effects. Not only is the daily site emailed to 150,000 subscribers (I'm one of them), which will of course give you a nice spike (to put it mildly) in traffic, but different media sites - we're talking USA Today and BBC type of sites here - often pick up sites featured by Cool Site of the Day. Ken McGaffin of Linking Matters explains the process: you apply, for a fee of $27, to have your site reviewed.

This doesn't mean you'll be featured, but if you are, huge things can happen.
